Stopped by our local nursery yesterday to pick up a planter box for the front porch and it was like walking into a winter wonderland. They had so many beautiful things to choose...from gorgeous tree ornaments to fabulous candles, wreaths and figurines. They even had the cutest little stockings and collars for our 4-legged fur-babies.… Continue reading Lights, trees, decorations
Today we remember the men and women, both past and present, who put their own lives on the line for our freedom. In particular, I think of my grandfather who was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Although he passed away when I was only 6 months old and I don't have any… Continue reading We Remember
Daylight savings time tonight...don't forget to turn your clocks back before you go to bed.
It is said that Ontario's cottage country has some of the most beautiful scenery around...especially in the fall. I would have to agree. We have… Continue reading Muskoka Life
After 13 1/2 amazing years and with completely broken hearts, we said goodbye to our sweet Sophie girl yesterday afternoon. After a very stressful couple of weeks, we took her to the vet one last time where she cleaned out the cat's food bowl, had a handful of treats and then quietly, peacefully passed away… Continue reading Our Sweet Sophie Girl
We have been up to the lake several times since we have opened up for the season and I am amazed at all the wildlife we have seen on our property. Just this past week, while we were sitting watching a movie with some friends, I looked out the back window and found 3 deer… Continue reading Life at the lake
This week some of our backyard florals burst into full bloom and I couldn't resist taking a few photos this morning.
