What is Jupiter’s Crossing all about? Well, in short…it’s about life and experiencing all it has to offer.
I’m Jenn! I’m a daughter…partner…sister…nurse…photographer…lover of food, nature and my dog, to name just a few. I’m a straight-shooter, “tell it like it is” kinda girl. I form opinions quickly but not without listening to the facts first. I love and cherish my friends completely and don’t know where I would be without them. One of my favorite things to do is hang out with some friends at a local restaurant or backyard deck and catch up on life. I live and breathe all things photography and post A LOT of photos. I’m also trying to improve my life choices in order to live it authentically…with less stress and with an overdose of adventure.
For so long, it seems as though I have been living life the way others think I should and not necessarily in a way that truly made me happy. I have wasted so many years chasing after people who, if the tables were turned, probably wouldn’t have given me the time of day. It seemed like I was always trying to maintain or repair broken relationships with people who weren’t putting in the same effort…all the while putting my needs and dreams aside. Over the past year, I have come face-to-face with just how short life can be. I don’t want to come to the end of my life and say that I have regrets…so, it is time to focus on that which I can control. It is not to say that those people aren’t important to me because they are…they have had a direct hand in molding me into the person I am today…I just can’t continue to make them the focus of my attention if ultimately things are not going to change.
This blog is about me getting out there and living life…FOR ME! It’s about my career and the unbelievable rewards that come from being a neonatal ICU nurse. It’s about my family and all the craziness that surrounds us. It’s about my relationships with the best group of friends a girl could ask for. And of course…it’s about all the experiences that I encounter each and every day…from adventures in our new home away from home in Muskoka to life with our adorable little dog. There will be stories that make you laugh…cry…smile…and think. Whatever I experience in life will probably find it’s way to the pages of this blog.
So…time’s a wastin’ and adventure is out there waiting to be discovered! Sit back, hold on and enjoy the ride…
