It is hard to believe that we are already nearing the end of July. We eagerly wait for what seems like an eternity for our long, cold winters to pass and make way for sunny skies and warm breezes…it blows my mind to think that our short Canadian summer is almost half over.
We have already had and enjoyed the first part of our holidays and are looking forward to going away again in a couple short weeks. We spent the first part of July at our little slice of heaven in the beautiful Parry Sound area. It was suppose to be a relaxing holiday, but because of all the rain we have had so far this summer, part of our holidays were spent completing projects. I am happy to say that our deck is FINALLY complete and our new gazebo has been erected and is lovely. We are determined to spend our next 2 weeks doing exactly what vacations are meant for…RELAXING!!!! We are looking forward to touring the area and finally getting out on the lake to do some boating and fishing. And of course…much more photography.
We absolutely love our new place. Our neighbours are very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to learn that our neighbours directly beside us also come from Kitchener and live 5 minutes from us! What a small world it is.
I have been so amazed by the amount of wildlife that we see right from our living room window. We back on to a ravine and bush that is home to deer, a vast amount of birds and I even saw a little black bear cub…did not see it’s mama though. I am sorry I wasn’t able to get a photo of the bear and have looked for him since with no success. Our neighbours have said that they have seen them several times in the park, so hopefully I will get another opportunity to photograph one in the future.
